During the last 10 years some parts of the organization has been involved developing Open Dialogue aproach together with other psychiatric organizations nationally and internationally.
We would like to participate in this project to promote and develop the Open Dialogue approach nationally and participate in the international network for learning from each other and exchange experiences.
During the last 13 years we have been working together with Danish colleagues from different parts of Denmark in developing different projects grounded in the clinical practise and we have created a national network that amplifies the possibilities and knowledge of ODA approach.
At the moment there is a large political interest in ODA and the government is working with new recommendations for the future Psychiatry in Denmark. Region Sjaelland have been invited in to the governmental task force group to talk about ODA, and how this approach could be organized within a public hospital organization.
There is a huge need for ODA focused education and teaching actions between institutions.
It is necessary to work with the international network of colleagues with research and quality improvement to show the authorities that ODA have good results. ODA is a different approach towards psychiatric treatment than the predominant approach with its focus on medical treatment.
